Glasmuseet Ebeltoft: Introduction

Glasmuseet Ebeltoft does something almost nobody else does: artists invited into the collection are permitted to come back and exchange or supplement their work with new pieces. A glassblower who thinks the bowl she gave in 1991 no longer represents her can replace it. The result is a holding of roughly 1,500 objects by 600 artists that keeps quietly revising itself, housed in a former customs house on the harbour of a Danish town of 7,400 people.
