Vagn Bennike, chief of resistance operations in Jutland, was asking the Royal Air Force to bomb the student halls of the University of Aarhus, because the Gestapo had taken them over, filled them with the files that were dismantling his organisation, and was at that moment holding and interrogating his people inside them. He sent it after the arrest of a courier named Ruth Philipsen on 7 October. An assault on the ground had already been discussed and judged impossible.]]></description>
